Porsha Williams has been a staple of "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" since she joined the series back in season five. But her time with this rowdy, catty, often-terrifying group of women may be at an end- recent rumors place her on the receiviing end of a demotion, given less time in the upcoming seventh season of "RHOA."
The rumor first comes from HNGN, who are claiming that Williams was demoted to a bit part in season seven, to focus on an upcoming Williams-centric spin-off.
There may be some truth to that- recently, Perez Hilton ran an interview with Carlos King, executive producer on "Real Housewives of Atlanta," who confirmed that Williams is officially being demoted. Here are King's own words on the matter.
"I don't hire nor fire housewives or demote them for that matter! LOL. But Andy Cohen spoke about Porsha's demotion and he specifically stated that it was a decision made from the network due to the lack of personal story info that Porsha was offering this season, but I can say that Porsha is all over this season as if she was a peach holder (housewife) so fans and #teamporsha should know they will see her READ and throw SHADE like she always does!!"
Demoted? Definitely. King even used the word "demotion," explicitly, so there's no guessing on the matter. But for a spin-off? Maybe... or maybe not.
According to Gossip Cop, Williams is playing things extremely coy whenever the topic of a spin-off is approached. Here's her most recent statement on the subject:
"I cannot confirm that. I mean, I am working on a project, this is true. And it is for TV, and I am executive producing it."
That project could be a "RHOA" spin-off, or it could be absolutely anything else. An infomercial about a new cleansing salve or a nightly news show co-anchored by her Yorkie/poodle pups.
