"Longmire" fans, cast members, producers (and everyone else associated with the former A&E crime drama) have been working themselves raw trying to find a new home for the recently cancelled series.
And all that tweeting, petitioning and general enthusiasm might actually pay off (it's happened before- "Family Guy," "Futurama" and "Arrested Development" are just three shows that have returned from the dead). According to Enstars, those involved with the series have recently changed their tone over social media. Where before, it was along the lines of fight for "Longmire," those in the know have started to insinuate that the show might be close to finding a new network.
First is Adam Bartley, who plays The Ferg on the in-transition series. Recently, Bartley sent two messages to the "Longmire" uncancellation squad over Twitter.
Last week, he sounded like this:
"Let's get some #MoreLongmire @mamalou8 @LouDPhillips @cassidyfreeman @LongmirePosse @JHuntBaldwin @JohnCoveny @ucrosspop25 @Bailey_Chase"
While this week, the actor was a bit more optimistic.
"Longmirians everywhere: Stay hopeful. Stay positive. Good things are happening! Hoping to get some good news very soon! #LongLiveLongmire"
That's definitely something to salivate over. And it gets even juicier when star Robert Taylor says the same thing.
Enstars has the transcription of a recent video message published by Taylor.
"Hey posse," Taylor said. Things are getting real close. Real close."
"I don't know what to say except that you're amazing. Just keep up the good work. And you're a saint. I love you guys."
"I've got a good feeling."
From all this, it really sounds like "Longmire" might have finally found a network willing to give it a new home. But we won't find out for sure until those involved with the show are allowed to tell us actual details, and not just vague hints like "Real close."
