JYP’s CEO Park Jin Young reveals 2PM earns the most among their artists; Speaks about secret to keeping JYP scandal-free and how he sees his agency as one of the ‘Big 3’

In a recent interview, JYP Entertainment's CEO Park Jin Young revealed that the label's male idol group 2PM earns the most among all their artists.

Mr. Park, who is celebrating his 20th year in the entertainment industry, answered questions from the press during a conference in a Gangnam café on November. The event was attended by many local media outlets, MSN reports.

In response to a question, the 42-year-old CEO denied that Suzy of girl group miss A earns the most in the label. "It's 2PM - they make a lot of money due to overseas (activities)," he revealed. "Their popularity in Japan and China is amazing," he continued.

This year, the idol group released "Go Crazy," their fourth studio album. Their highly anticipated world tour started in Seoul on October 3.

Suzy, on the other hand, is one of JYP's most active and frequently seen artists, having a number of endorsements for top notch brands.

The CEO also revealed, "Suzy's starring movie 'Dori Artist' will finish filming at the end of December. Right afterwards, [miss A] will begin working on their album, which is planned for a release sometime around summer of next year."

Park Jin Young was also asked on why JYP remains relatively free from controversies unlike other big record labels.

He answered, "Rather than picking kids with talent, I usually pick the ones who are righteous and kind. That's why in the past 20 years, our company has only had one problem that was related to legal matters."

He went on saying, "I've never told them 'go and make our company money.' All I've said to them is 'Let's grow our company in an honest manner.' Even if the National Tax Board comes in to investigate, there is no problem to be found because we are so honest."

On JYP as considered as one of the "Big 3," Mr. Park has this to say, "I don't have any pressure of JYP Entertainment being one of the Big Three. I've never felt anxious about it either... JYP is not a 'Big Three' agency... I have no intention of running a company with that kind of anxious mindset."

Moreover, the CEO, who is also known as a singer and songwriter, will be celebrating his 20th anniversary in showbiz through a concert, titled, "42 No. 1." According to allkpop, Mr. Park will be working with Samsung's radio streaming service "Milk Music Live Station," on November 8 for the second part of the event. GOT7, 15&, Bernard Park, HA: TFELT (Yenny) and Sunmi will join him on stage.
