Fans of the hit TV series Orange is the New Black are already buzzing about the upcoming third season's rumored time leap, drawing last season's pregnant Daya (played by Dascha Polanco) closer to her due date - and this new plot revealed begs the question: what's going to happen to Officer Bennett?
Actor Matt McGorry hints that the soon-to-be-born love child is a "ticking time bomb," and spoke to EW about his character's relationship dynamic with love interest Daya in the show. "The further she gets into the pregnancy, it strains the relationship," he says.
"When you're in prison and you're trying to keep quiet that you're the father, it makes it all the more complicated. Sh-- really hits the fan," he adds, as his character was last seen admitting paternity of the child at the finale of season two, but was told to keep it a secret.
Meanwhile, actress Samira Wiley - who plays inmate of the jokester Poussey Washington in the show - is hailed Ingénue of the Year by OUT magazine. Wiley also made it to the cover of their 20th anniversary issue, OUT 100, where she gives a glimpse of how her life changed after being cast in OITNB: "In figuring out her arc during season 2, I didn't realize how big she was until the end of it, looking back and thinking, Huh. She's kind of the hero." Check out her entire interview here.
Lea DeLaria, another OITNB star making recent headlines after a video of her calling out a homophobic subway preacher went viral, speaks out about the incident with PageSix. "I have no problem with people talking out loud on the subway," says the actress, who plays Big Boo in the hit dramedy, but adds that freedom of speech comes with responsibility. "You should not, you cannot sped that kind of hatred out loud - especially in New York City, a multicultural and religious city that we live in."
Orange is the New Black is set to return to Netflix with a new season in June 2015.
