Hollywood actor Steven Yeun, who is famous for his role in the hit series "The Walking Dead," will be starring in a skit titled "What's Eating Steven Yeun?" featuring 2NE1's Dara Park.
The comedy skit starring the Korean-American actor and the female idol is part of the website launch of Asia's first celebrity studio, Be FUNNY Studios, this month. The studio partnered with Funny or Die, American agency CAA (Creative Artists Agency) and Korea's largest PR firm PRAIN, for the website launch, Koreaboo reports.
Be FUNNY Studios is based in both in Seoul, South Korea and Los Angeles, California. Their website features collaborations between Hollywood and Asian celebrities. Contents of the site will be in English as well as Asian languages.
In the mini-series, Steven's character decides to leave his girlfriend, played by Dara, in LA and go back to his parents' hometown in South Korea. He wishes to create a name as an actor, only to find out that he will have to start as a "Mokbang" host. Following the advice of his manager, played by actor Park Hyuk Kwon, he broadcasts himself while eating different food - a real-life viral craze in South Korea.
This is not the first time Be FUNNY Studios featured collaboration between Hollywood stars and K-pop idols, Soompi reports. Previously, they had singer Rita Ora and 4Minute's HyunA compete in a walk off, as well as Anna Kendrick joining SM Entertainment's girl group f(x).
Meanwhile, the 2NE1 member recently celebrated her 30th birthday. Her record label, YG Entertainment greeted her by putting up a poster with a message that reads, "Dara, Happy Birthday! November 12, 2014, from YG."
In the poster, which was originally posted in YG Life website, Dara can be seen wearing casual clothing while smiling at the camera against a green outdoor background.
Dara is currently on vacation in the Philippines and is celebrating a grand 30th birthday with friends.
