It was just last month that it was reported by Cambio that One Direction's new album "Four" was leaked online. But it now it seems that stores in Brazil has started selling copies of the album earlier than the intended released date on November 17, 2014 according to a report by Cambio.
The band wasn't happy at all with the leak and they expressed how they exactly felt in a streamed online interview conducted by MTV. The band was also accompanied by their friend and director Ben Winston for the interview.
Band member, Liam Payne had this to say about the leaked album, "When it leaks, it's kind of a little bit anti-climactic for us. At the same time, it's great because they love the stuff that's come out".
Harry Styles also said something similar, "We're lucky that our fans hear it, and it when it comes out, they buy it anyway because they want to support us." He also adds that, "it's kind of like when Radiohead put out that album for free and then people went and bought it," which is a reference to rock band Radiohead releasing their new album "In Rainbows" for free on their website.
Niall Horan on the other hand was clearly disappointed by saying, "It's so close to coming out. You could've waited another week or so and you could've had the real thing." The leaked songs and album were reported to be that of very low quality.
"We've got kind of a structure and a way we think it's going to be received best as a fan. When that's taken away from us, it is annoying," Louis Tomlison explaining that the band planned everything carefully.
At the end of the interview, One Direction was kind enough to do a live acoustic performance of their new song "Steal My Girl" which was also posted on their YouTube channel.
The fans had a mixed reaction with some angry at the early leak of the album while others enjoying the music while still waiting for the official release.
