EXO's vocalist Chen serenaded the crowd during the recently concluded "2014 Daejeon Drama Festival APAN Drama Star Awards." However, there was a slight mistake on the part of the production that caused the singer to stop during his performance.
Chen sang "Best Luck," a track from the drama, "It's Okay, That's Love" live. The EXO member decided to stop singing after the first verse of the ballad, as he noticed a mistake made in playing the AR (all recorded) track which should have been the MR (music recorded) track, Soompi reports.
After stopping, the singer explained that instead of just the music recording to accompany his live singing, both music and voice track were played. Chen asked an apology from the crowd before starting over his performance from the beginning.
Despite the mistake, the singer still received support and applause from the crowd for his impressive vocals.
Meanwhile, his fellow EXO vocalist D.O also known as Do Kyungsoo, won the Best New Actor award during the ceremony. This was for his performance in the recent drama "It's Okay, That's Love."
D.O attended the event together with the other cast members of the drama, including Lee Kwang Soo, who won the Top Star Award; and Jo In Sung, who won the highest recognition, the Daesang Award.
The EXO member received numerous positive comments for his acting skills in the recent drama, even if it was one of his first projects as an actor. In D.O's speech, he expressed his gratitude to the people who guided him in the TV series.
The APAN Star Awards was held at the Chungnam National University, Koreaboo reports. It evaluated 87 dramas that aired from November 1, 2013 to September 2014.
