One of the biggest new developments from "Pokemon X and Y" was the addition of Mega Evolutions, and the upcoming "Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire" look like they'll be adding more Mega Evolutions in a big way.
KpopStarz reports that there are a flock of new Mega Evolutions coming to the upcoming remakes of Pokemon Ruby and Pokemon Sapphire, and that according to the game's creators, there may be more that have yet to be revealed.
Recently, Shigeru Ohmori, a game designer for "Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire," did an interview with Eurogamer where he confirmed the existence of hidden new Mega Evolutions in the game. A commentor on Facebook managed to translate the interview (which was not in English) so that English-speakers could figure out what was going on.
The relevant piece of the interview is below:
"Eurogamer: Are there more mega evolutions to reveal?
Shigeru Ohmori: Yes, there are many Pokémon with mega-evolutions in Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, and some have not yet been revealed. We expect players to explore the game and find out for themselves.
Eurogamer: Is Dragonite one of the mega evolutions to be revealed?
Shigeru Ohmori: You like a lot of Dragonite, do you not?
Eurogamer: Yes (laughs).
Shigeru Ohmori: I want to save some surprises for the game, so you'll have to play to find out."
Sadly, no Dragonite confirmation for now, but Pocket Gamer has a list of every new Mega Evolution currently confirmed for the game. The list goes as follows:
Beedrill, Pidgeot, Slowbro, Steelix, Sceptile, Swampert, Sableye, Sharpedo, Camerupt, Altaria, Glalie, Salamence, Metagross, Latias, Latios, Rayquaza, Lopunny, Gallade, Audino and Diancie all have Mega Evolutions in the next games.
As well, Legendary Pokemon Groudon and Kyogre will have Primal forms, which will differ from the Mega Evolutions.
