Former Girls' Generation member Jessica Jung is reportedly going to attend an upcoming event, marking her first public appearance in Korea since it was announced that he is no longer part of the SM Entertainment's girl group.
According to allkpop, promotional events company Dimaco revealed on November 21 that Jessica will be attending the opening event of luxury fashion brand, Fendi on the 25th. The event which will be held at the Lotte Mall in Jamsil, Seoul, will also be graced by actress Song Ji Hyo.
Since her departure from SNSD, Jessica has been busy with her fashion line BLANC & ECLARE. She appeared in several events in China including the "2014 Mission Hills World Celebrity Pro-Am" and the anniversary event of Lane Crawford.
Allkpop noted that since the event will be the first time Jessica is appearing publicly in Korea following her controversial exit, it is expected that the event will be drawing media, and most especially, fans.
Meanwhile, in a previous report, Girls' Generation will be holding an anniversary concert in China early next year. Sina reported that the concert will be held in Guangzhou on January 4.
As the news broke, SONEs (official fanbase of Girls' Generation) have expressed their desire to see Jessica reunite with her SNSD sisters. A fan wrote, "I've not given up hope for jessica, she might be joining the concert, she still has a contract running at SM. and she is mainly in china for her company. so things might work out. Let's all just hope."
Another fan commented, "Think positive sones . Who knows there'll be an anniversary video from jessica .. Or herself will make a surprise appearance ...? I know it sounds like a tad bit unrealistic . But give it a hope alright ? Sones fighting !!!"
While SM announced that Jessica is no longer part of the highly successful girl group, the idol remains under contract with the record label. In an official statement from SM, which was released on the height of the issue, the label wrote, "From this point onward, the company will unchangingly support and manage SNSD with eight members as well as Jessica′s personal activities."
In other news, Li-Ning recently released new set of photos of Jessica, who is endorsing the Chinese sports brand. The former SNSD member modeled the brand's beanies, caps, jackets, sweatpants, and sneakers in different-themed photos.
In the photos, Jessica showed her unique style and beauty as a chic skater, a demure cheerleader, and a sporty runner.
