Sunny of Girls' Generation became a hot topic among fans after the November 20 radio broadcast of MBC FM4U's "Sunny's FM Date."
During the said broadcast, DJ Sunny requested Roy Kim's "Home" to be played as the radio show's opening song. After the song played, Sunny said, "To be honest, I feel dazed whenever I listen to this song. It somehow seems like my own story, a song that I want to play for someone. I can really relate to the lyrics."
The female idol went saying a moving message for a friend she did not name. She said, "Of course, I don't think you're listening. But I'd like you to know that whenever you're having a hard time or when the people around you disappear, the one place you can return to is home. This is just something I wanted to say to a friend."
Fans were quick to speculate that the message could possibly be addressed to Girls' Generation former member, Jessica, Soompi reports.
Listeners also noticed that during the broadcast, Sunny's enthusiasm and energy were unusually low. The SNSD member is known for her bubby and energetic character, but in her show's November 20 broadcast, she seemed not so lively.
According to Koreaboo, the lyrics of Roy Kim's "Home" read as follow:
"Bright lights, busy schedules, I know your true and tired self. Stuck between what you have to do, what you want to do your shoulders always seem weighed down and the only gift I could give you was to come greet you with a smile when I heard your footsteps. Are you okay? I know you're tired. Don't worry about me. When your heart feels sick, when there is no one else, you can always come here."
Meanwhile, it was recently reported that Jessica will be attending an opening event for the fashion brand on November 25 at the Lotte Mall in Jamsil, Seoul. This would be her first public appearance in Korea since it was announced that she is no longer a member of the girl group.
