"Girl Meets World" and "Boy Meets World" crossover will not be over yet, as season 2 promises more opportunities for original characters from the '90s show to make their appearances.
"Boy Meets World" characters will make more appearances in season 2, reports Fashion & Style, citing TV Guide as source. According to the article, Will Friedle and William Daniels, who play Uncle Eric and Mr. Feeny, respectively, will be seen onscreen again. "For Feeney's appearance it looks like the whole game will head back to their old hood to Feeney's house to find something from the past," the article explains.
Crossovers from "Girl Meets World" and "Boy Meets World" will not be sparse in the second season, as it will be focusing on how the two shows come together. As stated in the Twitter account of "Girl Meets Writers," "Now that we have introduced you to our girl's world, both worlds will merge more often."
"Boy Meets World" had a loyal following of fans back when it was on air, with it being "the perfect combination of over-the-top, wacky comedy and unflinchingly honest emotions," as described by TV Over Mind. The show originally aired on ABC, but its predecessor is being aired on Disney Channel focusing on Cory (Ben Savage) and Topanga's (Danielle Fishel) daughter named Riley (Rowan Blanchard).
TV Over Mind also thinks that the holiday-themed episode, "Girl Meets Home for the Holidays," was "solid." According to the article, "For the first time during its freshman season, the show actually captured the spirit of the original 'Boy Meets World'." The episode featured William Russ and Betsy Randle returning to their roles as Alan and Amy Matthews. Rider Strong was also seen onscreen as Shawn Hunter.
There might also be a possible father-daughter-esque relationship between Shawn and Maya, which could be explored if Strong agrees to more appearances in the show, shares TV Over Mind.
"Girl Meets World" does not only cater to a younger audience, with original cast from "Boy Meets world" Savage and Fishel reprising their roles, but this time as parents to Blanchard's character, reports Guardian LV.
