Say what you will about Abby Lee Miller and "Dance Moms," but you've got to admit- a lot of those young dancers are going places.
Places like Broadway, for example. Two of the Lifetime reality show's star students hosted a Christmas benefit show on Broadway this week, and Miller was there (obviously) to catalogue it and show the world, via Instagram.
The image, seen above, shows two of Miller's "Dance Moms" proteges, Maddie Ziegler and Kendall Vertes onstage and hosting the event- along with the caption:
"@kk22xo and @madisonziegler1313 emcee their first Broadway Benefit! #ALDC #aldcla #aldcalways #dancemoms"
Although, according to Enstars, multiple fans online weren't pleased with the dancers Miller chose to host the event- many of them claiming that Nia Frazer would have been a better fit for the Broadway Christmas show. Although it's kind of hard to argue against using Ziegler- ever since she appeared in Sia's "Chandelier" video, she's been the biggest person by far to come out of "Dance Moms."
And although Miller's come under a lot of criticism for her harsh treatment of many of the "Dance Moms" girls (and moms), an interview with Huffington Post has Miller arguing her own side of the story- one that "Dance Moms" viewers might not regularly see.
"What you don't see on the show is the laughter," Miller argues. "The kids and I are united, and we're laughing all the time at the producers. You don't see the fun."
"I have spent the greater part of my life in a hotel room with seven or eight kids, looking after everyone, sorting out fights, wiping noses, handing out towels, not having a clean towel left for me. The only difference... now I have my own room and my own towel."
