Super Junior’s Siwon to attend ‘Dragon Blade’ premiere in Singapore with co-stars Jackie Chan, John Cusack and Adrien Brody

Super Junior member Choi Siwon will attend the premier of the movie "Dragon Blade" in Singapore on February, 2015. The idol-actor will be joining other high-profile cast members of the Chinese historical action film including Asian action star Jackie Chan and Hollywood A-listers John Cusack, Adrien Brody, KpopStars reports.

Channel News Asia reported that the movie's premiere is scheduled on February 19. According to the report, Siwon and his co-stars will be in Singapore up until the 11th for the event. The stars attendance on the premiere was confirmed by a media release dated December 5 from "Dragon Blade's" film distributor, Encore Films.

According to the report, this would be the first stop on the film's promotional tour in Asia.

"Dragon Blade" is helmed by director Daniel Lee, who also did the 2010 Chinese martial arts film "14 Blades." The upcoming Jackie Chan-starrer is set in 48BC and tells the story of Huo An, a Chinese commander whose mission is to protect China's Western borders during the Han dynasty.

Chan's character, Hou will be accused of treason and end up working as slave laborer. However, he will manage to gather Chinese forces to fend off a small an army of Roman invaders led by Lucius, played by John Cusack.

Hou will face a bigger challenge as a bigger army led by Tiberius, played by Adrien Brody, who will attempt to enter via China's border gate.

According to MOVIEEXCLUSIVE.COM, Siwon will play Yin Po, an officer of the Protectorate of the Western Regions and the right-hand man of Chan's Hou An. The Super Junior member's character in "Dragon Blade" is not only an intelligent strategist but also an excellent fighter.

In the report, Siwon shared how it was working with Jackie Chan saying, "Jackie Chan was so nice to me and looked after me in every aspect. Now I understand why everyone calls him, 'big brother' as he protected us and provided us with good food and drink."

"Dragon Blade" will be released simultaneously across Asia on February 19 in time for the Lunar New Year period.
