"Supernatural" Season 10 getting more explosive as ever, thanks to the return of some of the show's fan favorites.
Hypable said that the biggest one so far is Papa Winchester. The report said that in the earlier seasons, John Winchester (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) was shown as a bad parent despite giving up his soul to save a dying Dean (Jensen Ackles). However, the show's midseason finale for Season 10, "The Things We Left Behind," had the two brothers reminiscing the time their father saved Dean from a club.
Morgan told Entertainment Weekly about his enthusiasm to return to the show, at least to clear things up about his character's role as the Winchester patriarch. He said then, "My stance always is, I would love to come back. In fact, they have trashed John so f-king much on that show that I would like to come back just to set the record straight the real way. I'm not that bad of a dad. I saved my kids. I went to hell to save my kids. How bad can I be, people? But there are a couple of storylines that I'd like to resolve, and more importantly those people mean a lot to me."
John as Dean's rescuer is a major possibility, given the fact that in the current season, we are seen Dean not being able to resist his killer urge despite the fact that Sam (Jared Padalecki) has cured him of being a demon.
International Business Times noted that Dean's predicament with the Mark of Cain might definitely be the very thing that could bring John back. In the promo, we are treated to Dean covered with blood and being surrounded by bodies that might have been murdered by his hands. "Supernatural," which is set to return on January 20th next year, will have Dean hunting for the very being who had made him a demon, Metatron (Curtis Armstrong). Another character who is set to return to the series is the First Born himself, Cain (Tim Omundson). E! Online noted Omundson's cryptic tweet, which came in with a screenshot of his flight details. The tweet's caption read, "Why am I going to Vancouver? A) PSYCH reunion B) Bringing Cain back to #SUPERNATURAL C) Extradition Hint: Not A or C."
