The year is ending but it seems there's no stopping K-pop idol group EXO from receiving recognitions one after another. The highly popular male megagroup won two awards in the recently concluded "8th Miguhui Awards" in Shenzhen, China.

EXO won the "Asia Most Popular Group" award and the "Best Performance" award for "Overdose" in the awarding ceremony on December 13th, Daily Kpop News reports.

During their acceptance speech, the 10-member group said, "It's an honor to receive such a great award. We thanks everyone who works hard for us, and EXO-L, we really thank you and love you. We will become an EXO who can repay all of your love with our good music and performance."

Koreaboo noted that while the awards ceremony was largely focused on Mandopop, making it a gathering of Chinese and Taiwanese artists, EXO was given the privilege to grace the red carpet and deliver an impressive performance.

Chinese member Tao, who was recently rumored to be leaving the group as what fellow Chinese members Wu Yifan and Luhan did, gave a speech during their acceptance of the "Best Performance" award.

"As a Chinese member of EXO, I feel very honored that we are given this award," said Tao. "We are also thankful that Migu Wireless Awards is giving us this award. EXO will work even harder in future and bring better music and albums, and meet everyone with a new appearance in 2015. I hope that everyone can give a lot of support and love to EXO. Thank you, I love you all!"

The idol group performed their hit songs "Growl" and "Overdose" before an audience of some 28,000, according to Kpop Herald. The Miguhui Awards is one of the major year-end music awards in China that was lead by the country's largest mobile carrier, China Mobile, since 2007.

It can be recalled that at the MAMA 2014 held earlier this month in Hong Kong, EXO also won four awards, including two of the thee highest honors.

Meanwhile, the group is currently gearing up for their upcoming comeback in 2015.
