We've barely heard anything about "Ant-Man" in months. No trailers, barely any stills or artwork, and little about how the story of the shrinkable Scott Lang will tie into the rest of the Marvel Universe.
But we do have one thing: a piece of promo art that's revealed just what the film's villain looks like.
ComicBookMovie found an image from the company Aykroyd & Sons that is a promotional banner for "Ant-Man," and shows off not just the hero, but the villainous Yellowjacket. Yellowjacket, an evil industrialist with a similar shrinking suit like Ant-Man's, will be played by Corey Stoll in the film.
In the promo artwork, Yellowjacket has four extra robotic arms extending out of his suit, with two nasty-looking stingers on the end of two of them. The stingers also have smaller spikes and little tentacle-looking appendages- presumably, we'll see how those work when we see the suit in action.
The artwork is extremely similar (basically the same, really) as a leaked image from the film (seen on Bleeding Cool) that also showed off the Yellowjacket design. Same color, same design, same excess arms- this banner basically proves that image was legit.
As for the dearth of "Ant-Man" news, well, there may be a trailer for the film finally on its way. Yahoo News reports that the Alberta Film Classification Board has rated an "Ant-Man" trailer with a PG rating, and detailed that the trailer is a minute and 48 seconds long.
No other concrete details exist about this first "Ant-Man" trailer, but the rumor that's gained the most traction is that the trailer will debut during the premiere episode of Marvel's "Agent Carter." That's January 6, by the way.
Until then, we'll have to bide our time and wait for Marvel to come down from on high with a little more "Ant-Man" news.
Check back soon for the latest updates on "Ant-Man."
