If you're trying to stay as spoiler-free as possible for "Avengers: Age of Ultron" this summer, we suggest you turn away now.
Seriously. The closer we get to the film's May 1, 2015 release date, the more we're inundated with potential spoilers- and this latest crop is easily the most spoileriffic stuff we've seen so far.
Ready? Don't forget, we warned you.
Alright, let's look.
Found on ComicBookMovie.com (who in turn, found the art on superhero message boards), a number of new pieces of promotional art for "Avengers: Age of Ultron" have just popped up online. Some of them are fairly generic- like the image of Ultron grasping a globe, seen above, or shots of Hulk and Iron Man's Hulkbuster armor grappling over some unknown slight. There's also a shot of Thor in there, standing over a pile of trashed Ultron minions.
But two images, specifically, give us a mountain of new "Age of Ultron" scoops.
The first is a biography of Ultron, which reveals that his origins come from the Chitauri in the first "Avengers" film (text courtesy of Collider).
"First discovered as a simple computer program hidden among the ruins of the Chitauri invasion of New York, the being known as Ultron soon completed its development into a sophisticated artificial intelligence after some experimentation by Tony Stark. Ultron's first shocking ultimatum upon gaining consciousness was to declare the human race its enemy. Setting out to exterminate all life on the planet, the unstable and emotional Ultron seeks to upgrade its mechanical body to an ultimate, unstoppable form. With an army of robotic drones and the ability to enter and corrupt any computer network, Ultron will stop at nothing to see humanity wiped out."
Then, there's a similar image for the Vision, who we've heard and seen little from, so far. His bio can be read below.
"Programmed by the combined geniuses of Tony Stark & Bruce Banner and imparted with the ability to fly, project intense energy beams and change the density of his form, the Vision has proved himself a worthy hero, aiding the Avengers in their struggle against the evil A.I. Ultron."
Interesting is the note that Tony Stark and Bruce Banner created the Vision, and not Ultron- as is the case in Marvel Comics.
More images have just leaked online as well, showing off full body shots of Ultron and a new look at Black Widow's costume in the upcoming film.
