The Walking Dead Season 5 will return in a month and fans were eager to know what awaits the group of Rick Grimes and his fellow survivors in the second half of the show. After the chilling mid-season finale last winter, the cast of the show speaks up on what will be the direction of AMC's hit TV series.
According to a report of Inquisitr, Andrew Lincoln revealed a few details on what the show will be once it hits the air. Lincoln stars as Rick Grimes in Walking Dead and he revealed that "The scripts that I've read and what we've been filming so far - it feels like we're moving into a new show." He even added that "It just feels like a new place visually and also story-wise... It's very hard not to be brutalized by this world - but there is a sense in Rick that he's going to pull people through."
Another co-star, Norman Reedus, who plays the Daryl Dixon, shares his thoughts on the direction of the show as well. He claims that "We used to move in a direction based on fear... now we're running towards things, and we're hitting things head-on."
In another report made by Christian Today, the survivors of The Walking Dead may see new enemies and this time they are not one of the undead. Based on the comic book series "Walking Dead" of Robert Kirkman, the new foes are called "The Whisperers". According to the report, these survivors of the zombie apocalypse are said to live amongst the undead with "drapes of walker skin and guts all over themselves". They even adapted the meal preference of the undead and disguise themselves as such.
They may cause trouble to Rick's group on the return of the show this year. Rumor has it that their existence has been hinted long before the show started its second season. It was reported that Rick and Glenn once used the skin of the undead in order to survive. Another clue is when Michonne shows with a "jawless, armless walker." One of the biggest sign is way back in Season 4 when Rick waked up from his coma and Morgan Jones said to him "People wearing dead people's faces."
Speaking of Morgan Jones, fans theorize that Morgan will have an important role in the upcoming episodes of the show. GameNGuide reports that Morgan is already part of the show since Season 1 but he didn't join Rick's group when they head for Atlanta. He made another appearance as a changed man in "Clear" episode wherein he seems to have indicated that he had met "The Whisperers" before.
The Walking Dead Season 5 will return on air this February 8 and the fans will be surprised with the direction of the hit TV show of AMC.
