Somewhere around the corner of Marvel appears looms another blockbuster news. Despite the entire buzz about the 'Avengers: Age of Ultron,' another film is starting to get the attention and that would be the 'X-Men: Apocalypse.' The franchise returns with younger versions of beloved characters, such as Storm, Cyclops, and Jean Grey. Also, star Oscar Isaac revealed how his villainous costume will be tailored.
In an announcement made by director Bryan Singer, the X-Men franchise will return with younger characters played by Tye Sheridan, Alexandra Shipp, and Sophie Turner. They will play the iconic X-Men Cyclops (Sheridan), Jean Grey (Turner), and Storm (Shipp), Vox reported.
Sheridan of 'The Tee of Life' and 'Mud' will play the mutant whose name was derived from the giant one-eyed monsters of Greek mythology, except that he's very much human in form with the ability to shoot highly-powered beams from his eyes. He would be Cyclops, the character who is Jean Grey's love interest in the previous X-Men films.
Vox claimed that Turner would be the most recognizable name among the three because of her role as Sansa Stark on HBO's 'Game of Thrones.' As Jean Grey, her superpowers would be telekinesis, allowing her to move objects without her physically touching them. You've probably wished that power when you were a kid.
Meanwhile, fans can already picture out how the iconic villain Apocalypse, who will be the center of the next X-Men movie, will look like as star Oscar Isaac, who is the Apocalypse himself, revealed that his image will be achieved through a mix of CG and practical effects, IGN reported.
"It'll be a mix [of practical and digital]," Isaac said in an interview with Yahoo! Movies' Tom Butler. "I haven't had a script so I haven't had a chance to look through the script and see what the exact requirements are, but I think it'll be a mixture of physical."
"After we finish here I'm heading to do a head cast [for 'X-Men: Apocalypse'], which they do often," the actor continued. "You spend 3-4 hours with them putting plaster all over your head and they get a sense of what your face is like and what shape your head is, so they can start figuring out the costume and the make-up and all that stuff, which is pretty fun."
The other stars who will play a role in the film 'X-Men: Apocalypse' will be Michael Fassbender (Magneto), James McAvoy (Professor X), Jennifer Lawrence (Mystique), wrote Comic Book Resources. The film is slated for May 27, 2016 release.
