After her record-breaking album 21, Adele is supposed to release her next album by end of last year, but of course that did not happen-and now fans are wondering when it will happen. Reports claim that it may still be delayed, but more recent reports claim that it will be available by second half of December.
In a report by Music Business Worldwide, Adele is really taking her time and the entire team-including management company September, UK label XL/Beggars and US label Columbia-is supporting her decision. This is the primary reason why her album isn't guaranteed to arrive this year.
Quoting The Sun, RTE reported that the delay is also because Adele wants to perfect the album.
"The album will be released when it's ready - [we] hope that will be at some stage in 2015. That's all I can tell you right now" a source close to Team Adele shared to MBW.
Another source also revealed that "logically, there is now almost no chance" of the LP being released before the second half of this year although a more recent report says otherwise.
Still, another report says that Adele's LP3 would most likely be available before Christmas to take advantage of the holiday sales rush. It can also be assumed that the team will try and score record-breaking sales to rival Taylor Swift, wrote Popdust. Currently, Adele's 21 has already sold 30 million copies in the US.
A more recent report claims that Damon Albarn is rumored to be helping Adele with the record, which makes a lot of sense since Albarn is a good friend of Adele's label boss at XL, Richard Russel, MBW reported. Other names mentioned to involved with the project are Ryan Tedder, Dianne Warren, Kid Harpoon and James Ford.
Despite the vague reports regarding the release of Adele's new album, the fans continue to hope that it will be available very soon. Her 21 album is undeniably a huge success critically and commercially, and her next one expected to be the next big thing this year, and it may really be just worth the wait.
