Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder still need to work together for "The Vampire Diaries," but that does not mean things are simple between them after Somerhalder's engagement to Dobrev's former friend, Nikki Reed. After multiple sites report that Somerhalder and Dobrev could not stand each other, a new rumor says that the two are actually starting to be affectionate with each other on set.
According to an exclusive source talking to Hollywood Life, Dobrev and Somerhalder couldn't be farther from hating each other. Rather, Dobrev and Somerhalder are being affectionate at the set of their show, which is currently on its sixth season.
The source describes, "Nina walked in and sat next to Ian on the pew. When she sat down, she immediately leaned her head on his shoulder and just sat there for a few minutes until it was time to roll."
However, Nikki Reed does not seem concerned. According to the article, Reed will not distrust Somerhalder until he does something wrong, which his fiancée is not expecting to happen-ever. Reed believes Somerhalder is more focused on being professional and taking advantage of the opportunity to direct season 6 episode 16.
There are also rumors that Dobrev might have been dissing Reed. Celeb Dirty Laundry reports the female star posting on Twitter about "fake bitches." Accompanying a photo of a stuffed bear and a cat, Dobrev's post reads, "Ms. Cuddles trying to cuddle up to my Lynx. But my Lynx doesn't like fake bitches." Dobrev also used the hashtags "#BeReal" and "#BeGone" aside from the hashtag for her show with Somerhalder.
According to Inquisitr, "Ian Somerhalder's relationship with Nikki Reed rubbed Nina Dobrev the wrong way from the start." Things only got worse when Somerhalder and Dobrev stopped talking to each other after Reed started coming around the set. Allegedly, producers had to step in and Reed was kept away.
Dobrev was not idle when she took the news of Somerhalder and Reed's engagement, as according to J-14, the actor went to an event immediately after and posted about having a good time with her best friend, Julianne Hough.
"The Vampire Diaries" has been renewed for a seventh season.
