New Line Cinema's 1998 direct hit film "Rush Hour", followed by its sequels in 2001 and 2007, has now landed a spot in CBS' line-up as they received a go signal for the action-comedy film's production for a pilot episode last Monday. Alongside with this is the order for remake of the 2013 comedy hit "Super Clyde" to be written and produced Greg Garcia of "The Millers" and "My Name Is Earl". In addition to this, Bill Wrubel's "Joe Time" also received a green light for its pilot episode production.

"RUSH HOUR" Spearheads Revival Productions With Two More Titles

According to TV Line, the plot includes "A stoic, by-the-book Hong Kong police officer is assigned to a case in Los Angeles where he's forced to work with a cocky African-American LAPD officer who has no interest in a partner." The producers will start casting soon.

The original trilogy was starred by Jackie Chan as Chief Inspector Lee and Chris Tucker as Detective James Carter. The two were paired and were asked to coordinate with each other in order to solve a crime involving their own countries to be at stake.

Brett Ratner, the film's original director signed up for the production to work closely with Arthur Sakissian. Bill Lawrence, the co-creator of Cougar Town will co-write and co-produce the pilot together with Blake McCormick, Comic Book Resources writes.

CBS also booked two additional titles namely: "Super Clyde" and "Joe Time". "Super Clyde" is about a fast-food worker who then decides to chase his dreams and do better for himself. Meanwhile, "Joe Time" "a family man who struggles with the fact that everyone around him is pursuing their dreams and enjoying their lives more than he is.", C21 Media reports.
