"Evolve" will be released early next month for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC format. Turtle Rock Studios, the game developer, aims to deliver an asymmetrical multiplayer game where 4 players cooperate with each other to hunt a monster controlled by another player. The 4 vs 1 multiplayer mode makes the "Evolve" a big cat and mouse except the mouse can bite back really hard.
The game takes place in an alien planet called Shear according to The Christian Post. There will be four hunters who fill fight an evolving Monster. Hunters will be on first-person shooter perspective while the Monster is set on a third-person mode.
Hunters are categorized into Assault, Trapper, Support and Medic. There will be 3 Monsters in the game which are known as Goliath, Wraith and Kraken. A fourth monster, Behemoth, is also available for purchase through DLC.
CrossMap, additionally reported that Behemoth will have a huge health pool multiple times over than the Wraith's. Its weapons will be well beyond too which includes flames and fire. Its gigantic size makes it a slow monster compared to others however it still can devour players who let their guards down.
According to the report, Chris Ashton, Turtle Rock Studios' Creative Director, said "Our philosophy is to build incredibly fun game experiences that we can't find anywhere else. Evolve's coop vs. lone wolf formula has created some of the most intense multiplayer matches we've ever experienced."
In additional news, there will be a new line of figures for "Evolve". Funko's Pop! and Legacy figures has provide a collectible toy for the characters and monsters in Evolve. The designer of Pop! from Funko, Tim Gilardi said that, "For Evolve we did this by watching the promo reveals and beta game footage to understand each character's role. Once we identify each character's key features and elements we fold them into our general pop guidelines," then he added that, 'It starts with our iconic large squared-off head with wide eye spacing and is tweaked for each character as needed. We want a design thats true to the core character but also has that spark of cuteness that the pop line is known for....."
The Pop! figures will be available in March for $9.99 each while the Legacy figures will cost $19.99 each whch will be released in April.
"Evolve" will be available on February 10 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. Gamers can expect a fresh action adventure experience once the game hits their consoles.
