"Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare" Update: New "Havoc DLC" Comes Out Pricey but Lacking? New Exo Zombies Finally Introduced

"Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare: Havoc" has been released, but so far it is receiving mixed reviews, with the more favorable ones liking Exo Zombies above everything else.

"Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare" has released its first map pack along with a new game mode in Havoc DLC, but it is not how the game should proceed, says Metro. According to the article, the game could have used its ideas consistently and gotten better results. Moreover, the DLC apparently only offers tweaks "to some degree."

Just this week, Xbox players were treated to "Advanced Warfare's Havoc DLC," which included some maps that Destructoid considers "pricey by any standards." The maps seemed like a hit and miss for many, but Exo Zombies received good reception.

Multiplayer maps included in the newly-released DLC are Core, Urban, Drift, and Sideshow. Along with the maps, a new tradition, a co-op map, and a new gun have been introduced as well.

Core is described to be set in the Gobi desert, complete with the yellow tones. The plainness of the map is saved by "emphasis on more vertical movement as a result of the Exosuit," which ends up in it being called a "Frankenstein" of concepts.

Meanwhile, Urban seems to have taken the interest of those looking for a more futuristic set-up. It comes complete with neon colors and an office/city theme. Though it feels like something worthy of being called premium, it still feels static to some.

Drift, on the other hand, is a medium-small-sized map in a hamlet town complete with a carousel. However, players wanted to see more alleys "to duck in."

Sideshow comes with an open field with plenty of opportunities in the abandoned township.

Rather than improving on Exo Survival, the DLC instead chose to introduce Exo Zombies. While the maps are receiving mixed reviews, the Exo Zombies have apparently saved the "Havoc DLC." Exo Zombies include a Hollywood cast headlined by Bill Paxton and including Rose McGowan, John Malkovich, and Jon Bernthal. Despite this, some criticisms were still received by the game for copying zombies straight from "Modern Warfare 3."

There are four players to team up and fight off zombies in an Atlanta facility.

One thing that could interest fans of the game and add to gameplay enjoyment is a secret song Cinema Blend has discovered. The song, which is Richard Wagner's "Ride of the Valkyries," requires a saw, bone saw, and wrench. Once the items have been found, the song starts when clicking the X over the zombies.
