Following its US and global released for PS3 and XBox 360 November last year, Ubisoft would be releasing in March 10th, the PC version of its latest title for the action adventure franchise that follows the exploits of societies moving in stealth and finsihing of missions in silence.
Add to that, a new type of technology would be introduced with the release of the game's PC edition. "Assassin's Creed: Rogue" would incorporate in its PC edition a nifty eye-tracking technology. The PC edition would include the option for players to use eye-tracking for movement rather than using the mouse or keyboard.
The player would have to use a seperate hardware, the "SteelSeries Sentry," to get the "infinite screen experience" the game developers of "Assassin's Creed: Rogue" have been so excited about. Infact based on the creators of the eye-tracking hardware, Tobii Tech, with the eye-tracking technology, the player becomes the character, Templar Shay Patrick Cormac, as their vision become one, eventually immersing the player deeper into the game.
The players of "Assassin's Creed: Rogue" could always go back to their mouse settings if they get so overwhelmed with the head motions. However, what's brilliant about the new technology would be it's ability to pause the game once it detects that the player's eyes are no longer glued to the monitor. Thus, the game would be salvaged from accidental deaths especially if the player had been in that mission so many times for several hours.
Although "SteelSeries Sentry" for "Assassin's Creed: Rogue" would truly be a remarkable experience, it would definitely come at a price. The eye-tracker would cost US$200, which the player has to attach to the monitor. However, Tobii Tech made an offer in their press release on Feb. 05, for the first 5,000 players to buy the eye-tracker; these players would get the "Assassin's Creed Rogue for free.
"Assassin's Creed: Rogue" would follow the journey of an assassin in colonial America who just broke away from the Creed after commiting an onslaught. The assassin, Shay Patrick Cormac, would defect to the Templars where his new found mission begins.
