"Fantastic Four" is getting a reboot this year and a new cast will form the superhero team. A recent teaser trailer was released and it reveals a unique presentation of the superheroes like no other Marvel superhero movies before. Stan Lee voiced out his opinion on the changes in the upcoming film.
The recently released trailer for the upcoming reboot "Fantastic Four" has received favorable reviews from critics. News has it that the upcoming film is going to a different direction compared to its predecessor and it resembles more of a science fiction that is based on the comic book. Some says that it is going to the right direction considering that superhero movies need to diversify in order to do well in the market full of superfluous superhero movies.
Josh Trank, the director of the upcoming movie, agrees with the recent news and said that "I really wanted to see science in science fiction, which I think we kind of rarely see." In fact, the teaser trailer for "Fantastic Four" reveals a different kind of costume which is a deviation from the usual latex body suits of the four heroes. Producer Simon Kinberg says that, these suits will have a "real science function," adding that "And they would help them control, contain these powers. They really needed them."
Stan Lee who watched the new "Fantastic Four" trailer also agreed to the direction of the movie and said that it is something to look forward to. According to Stan Lee, "Change is good" and it is important for development. The Marvel creator even agreed with the change to the actors of the Fantastic Four saying that the new Johnny Storm, who was originally white in the comic book and is now portrayed by a black actor, is also a good choice for the movie.
While, the latest trailer for the new "Fantastic Four" film has been considered as a record breaker, it will take a lot more from the film producers to make it a successful box-office hit. Cinema Blend pointed out that with the right direction in the following months before its release, it might be a new hit compared to Disney/Marvel production.
The new "Fantastic Four" will feature a new cast which includes, Miles Teller as Reed Richards, Kate Mara as Sue Storm, Jamie Bell as Ben Grimm and Michael Jordan as Johnny Storm. The film is expected to hit the theaters this August 7.
