Sentenced with fraud charges last October 2, 2014, Teresa Giudice spends some quality time in Danbury Federal Prison, Connecticut. Reportedly, she has good time with other inmates while cooking and watching TV shows.
Latin Post said that Guidice was popular at the prison where the other inmates had warmly welcomed her especially with her Italian-spice cooking. According to the site's details, the 42-year-old actress landed to a job in the kitchen where she had to clean and to cook for her co-inmates. While working in the kitchen, she was able to find it easier to whip up her dishes to whatever ingredients she can find.
Apart from cooking where she's really at her best [since she's a published cookbook author], she was also watching TV shows such as "Empire," "Scandal," and "The Real Housewives of Atlanta." This is part of her adjustment to a new life in prison.
As mentioned by the jail officials, the actress had been receiving lots of mails from her fans, though she hasn't have enough time to write all of them, but she's reading them. Joe, 42, her husband together with her four daughters aged 13, 10, eight, and four visited her in some occasions. She's writing to her family but they're all monitored by the jail staffers mentioned in NY Dailynews.
The same site source also cited that the reality TV star will be staying inside the prison for another ten months of her 15-month sentence due to charges of fraud and at the same time, her husband's failure to pay taxes with the amount of $200,000.
Another sad thing for the couple is that they cannot hug or hold each other. They are only allowed to give each other kiss upon arrival and another one upon leaving reported by Radar Online. Former inmates told that one thing that they [Joe and Teresa] can do to keep their sparks is through calling, writing love letters, and visits since for the entire sentence, they are not allowed to hold each other.
Beatrice Cordianni, former inmate in Danbury, said, "During the visits, they are allowed to kiss coming in and one kiss leaving, but it must be a brief kiss. If they can get the tongue in, fine, but they will be told by the correctional officers, 'That's it!'"
Yet, after Teresa's sentence, Joe will be the next with lenghtier duration. In terms of visiting his wife, he has to have a special permission for visitation rights from the warden since he had already some criminal records. Since she had served 85% of her sentence, Teresa will likely be released by this year's Christmas time.
Meanwhile, there were reports saying that she has been trying to sabotage her family by defaming them especially her brother, Joe Gorga and his wife Melissa, and told they were the reasons why she is currently behind bars, Inquisitr said.
But, there were new reports that these claims are not true. Someone said, "Teresa is seething with jealousy that the Gorga's are free while she is behind bars and her husband will soon be in jail as well."
