'Batman: Arkham Knight' is the explosive conclusion to the epic Arkham trilogy and will feature the Dark Knight as he faces the ultimate danger that threatens to destroy Gotham City. The Scarecrow makes his return as he leads a strong roster of villains that would prove to be a challenge for the Caped Crusader.
According to Gaming Bolt, new details about the Batmobile and its various stages have been revealed. Gaz Deaves, social marketing manager of Rocksteady Studios has emphasized that the Batmobile has indeed played "an important part in Batman's identity."
"When we first started looking at ideas for new elements to build into our third Batman game, everyone immediately got very excited about the possibilities of adding in a drivable Batmobile. But it wasn't until we got a few tech demos and experiments running that we realized we were onto something quite special that felt like a natural extension of the Arkham gameplay that we've been creating and refining since 2007." he said in an interview.
The infamous Batmobile has played an essential role in defining Batman's identity, and it is interesting to see how different creators would often show their creations of the Batmobile through the years.
"We really felt this sense of obligation to show what our version of the Batmobile would look like - and give players the unique experience of driving that car." Gaz added.
There have also been latest updates on the upcoming game's gadgets. While there is no denying that The Dark Knight is a powerful and skilled fighter, a chief complaint of nearly every gamer is the limited ability to fight from the air.
"One of the best things about working with Batman is thinking of new ways to use gadgets to solve problems. We haven't talked about the new gadgets that we're adding to Batman's utility belt yet, but on top of all the new tools you'll have access to, one of the things we wanted to do this time is expand on how some of our classic Arkham gadgets can be deployed," said Deaves.
This means that throwing weapons while airborne is now possible. It will also be exciting to try out Batman's new "chain grapnel" that would allow him to grapple for "multiple times in quick succession."
The Scarecrow will be returning as the game's main villain, along with The Penguin, Two Face, Harley Quinn and The Riddler. The game is set to be released on June 2, 2015.
