An announcement was made that there will be no Mortal Kombat X demo. NetherRealm, however, suggested to reveal the latest character this month.

As reported by Gamespot, NetherRealm Studios confirmed that there will be a new character for the upcoming fighting game. On the other side, gamers will not be witnessing a game demo for Mortal Kombat X according to the game developer.

"There is no demo," Ed Boon, Mortal Kombat co-creator and NetherRealm boss tweeted.

The demo was postponed since it would require much time for the game studio which is not possible as of the moment. Producer Shaun Himmerick said that instead of having the demo for the gamers, the studio will be consuming their time to their polishing and at the same time refining the game for the players to have the best gaming experience. "...We took that time to make a demo and made the final launch game better. Limited time. The final game is better for it," he said through his Twitter account.

One site added that NetherRealm has been focusing on the 60fps outing for the platforms with High Voltage taking for the Xbox 360 and PS3 ports.

According to the same source, the game developer teased about the new character in the upcoming game which its features are not revealed or given clues. Instead, they will be announcing it during the livestream events. Fans speculated that it would be Mileena.

However, other reports also mentioned that it would be Johnny Cage which was hinted through Boon's tweet with "a picture of a T-shirt sporting the move input "back, forward + low kick." Thus, it cleary hinted that it would be Cage and his return to the game. Announcements were also made that his daughter, Cassie Cage, will be joining him in the no-holds-barred tournament. Apart from Jonny Cage's return, Jax and Sonya Blade together with Sweet Tooth were also teased by the NetherRealm's boss.

The Mortal Kombat X will be released by April 14 in PC, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3, and PS4. It can be in four collector's editions.
