The last time Pepper Potts got a lot time with her beau Tony Stark was in 2013, but it seems she has to wait a little longer as Tony's alter ego is not ready to go back soon or worst not anymore. Robert Downey Jr. is scheduled to appear in 'Avengers 2', 'Captain America 3', and 'Avengers 3', but till now he doesn't talk about 'Iron Man 4.'
Though all Tony's high-tech suits exploded in 'Iron Man 3' it didn't mean that his journey ended right? Apart from it looks like he gets some extra suits hidden inside S.H.I.E.L.D.'s headquarter for Avengers' team building, knowing Tony he can produce suit even inside a cave. So what's stopping Tony err Downey?
According to ecumenicalnews.com, one factor is possibly Downey's asking price. The site informed that the 'Sherlock Holmes' actor earned around $40-50 in 'Iron Man 3.' In fact, it would be the high grossing film in 2013 with $409M gross, if only Jennifer Lawrence-starrer film 'Hunger Games: Catching Fire' didn't hit $424.7M.
In an interview with Variety, Downey was asked if its fine with him that someone else will play Iron Man. 'The Judge' actor expressed amusement about the idea.
"I like that the idea is that it would be up to me, like I'm casting director for Marvel," said the 49-year old ex beau of Sarah Jessica Parker, who also divulged in the said interview that there's no plan yet for next installment of Iron Man.
Meantime, Empire had a talk with RDJ about 'Avengers: Age Of Ultron' directed by Joss Whedon and his other renowned character. Interestingly, Empire also checked Downey's sentiment on success of Iron Man and creating Ultron.
"What I appreciate is that he [Tony] is maturing and that he is becoming a benefactor of something vastly different than his father ever could have imagined. The promised legacy of Iron Man 2 has really been realised in a way that I go, 'Oh, that's creative and smart and it keeps pushing the peanut forward and it's interesting and new and it makes space.' Tony has always been interested in how he can make more space for himself under the guise of having a moral psychology and a spiritual awakening of sorts in the cave, but now it's about being a worker amongst workers and trying to find his place and go back to the simplicity of where it all started, which is that a gal who used to work for him became his love," he said.
