James Kirk (Chris Pine) and Spock (Zachary Quinto) will be back for the third installment of the "Star Trek" reboot which will be filmed on Vancouver. The producers said that the location was chosen due to favorable tax considerations. According to Global, "Production of the new Star Trek movie will pump millions in the B.C. economy and provide work for hundreds of locals."

Shooting will take place from June until September. Reprising their roles are Zoe Saldana (Uhura), John Cho (Hikaru Sulu), Simon Pegg (Scotty), Anton Yelchin (Pavel Chekov) and Karl Urban (Leonard McCoy). Bryan Cranston (Breaking Bad) is also rumored to be considered for an antagonist role.

Original Captain Kirk To Do A Cameo? Leonard Nimoy Hospitalized

William Shatner, the original Captain James T. Kirk confirms that he has been contacted by J.J. Abrams to ask him if he wants to star in the upcoming "Star Trek" reboot. "I'm calling because the director of Star Trek, the next movie, has had an idea where you might be involved, so I'm calling to find out whether you would be interested." Abams said. "It depends on what you do with the character, but I would be delighted. I would love to do it. But how do you get me fifty years later into the movie? I mean how do you rationalize it. I know it's science fiction, but even I couldn't come up with an idea." Shatner said, Comic Book reported.

According to a report, there might be a possible reunion for the original Kirk and Spock. "It's all over the Internet that the director had held an interview and said they want Shatner and Nimoy to be in the next movie. I'll bet you J.J.'s frothing at the mouth at this point." Shatner said in a statement. "So the news is out that they have an idea that they want Leonard and myself...they might want Leonard and myself in it."

But Leonard Nimoy might not be rejoicing for this news. Last Thursday, the actor has been sent to the hospital due to severe chest pains possibly caused by COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease) he has probably gained through smoking. Shatner expressed his support for his co-star Nimoy in a tweet. Nimoy can be recalled to have tweeted and confirmed his disease. "I quit smoking 30 years ago. Not soon enough. I have COPD. Grandpa says, quit now!! LLAP" he wrote. Until now, there has been no news on how critical his condition is.
