Samsung Galaxy Note 5 Release Introduces Wireless Charging: New Feature's Work, Benefits

By

Samsung Note 5 will be introducing its newest and most practical feature, the Wireless Charging. If you are an avid Samsung fanatic, you would recall that Samsung has employed the Wireless Charging system to its other smart phone units through the Wireless Charging Pad Mini. With this gadget, Samsung smart phones can be charged without plugging it to a wall charger or USB port. You just need to place your device on the charging pad. With the start of this innovation, the idea of the next Samsung phablet Wireless Charging feature was born.

Many of you may be wondering how this feature works. But let us begin the exploration of this new feature through the definition of Wireless Charging. Wireless Charging as defined by Proxi as the transmission of electrical current from a power source to a device without the use of any physical connection. This electrical current is used to charge the battery of the receiving device, in Samsung's case the Note 5.

So how does it really work, you might ask.

"Wireless charging starts by converting the main voltage to alternating current or AC. The AC is then transmitted to the coil through the transmitting circuit. The AC then produces a magnetic field which extends to the coil of the receiver. The magnetic field generates current within the receiver coil of the device. The process whereby energy is transmitted between the transmitter and receiver coil is also referred to as magnetic or resonant coupling and is achieved by both coils resonating at the same frequency. Current flowing within the receiver coil is converted into direct current (DC) by the receiver circuit, which can then be used to charge the battery.

Through the process described above, power can be transferred safely over an air gap and also through any non-metal object which might exist between the coils i.e. wood, plastic, granite. The addition of extra (or larger) transmitter coils can also extend the range at which the power can be transferred."

Using a device with a Wireless Charging Feature also has some benefits. The first on the line would be the convenience it could bring. It would minimize the expenses in maintaining wired connection chargers. You no longer need to buy those rubber-like tubes to protect your cables. It can also increase your device's safety since it would no longer be in danger of any sparks that would come from faulty wirings.

Definitely, Samsung has brought a feature that would bring change to the future of all phablets to come.
