'Mortal Kombat X' to slaughter 'Freddie' and 'Jason;' Carnage comes to Android, iOS

Wouldn't it be fascinating to have some of the most terrifyingly disturbing villains in the most goriest horror movies come to fight in "Mortal Kombat X?" So far, that fantasy would be making its way to reality if the game developers take their teasing on Twitter seriously.

"Mortal Kombat X" co-creator Ed Boon has been sharing several images on his Twitter account since last year, this was according Bloody-Disgusting. Now, these images were mostly from fans and hardcore gamers who have been asking, if not begging, the developers to include some of the most horrific characters that murdered on the big screen to fight and win (or die) in the arena of sheer sinister pleasure.

The psychopath serial killers' roster, which fans wanted in the game, would include "Friday the 13th's" "Jason Voorhees" and "Elm Street's" "Freddie Krueger." Also, the "Predator" would be joining in, as well as "Spawn." In fact, "Spawn's" creator Todd McFarlene has showed some enthusiasm on the idea of getting his baby in "Mortal Kombat X."

It seemed that Boon and the team would be considering these bright ideas in the franchise's upcoming title. After all, some of these residents of every child's nightmare have also made appearances in other popular video game titles, not to mention having their own game titles.

Meanwhile, the developers have set the release of "Mortal Kombat X" for "next generation" game consoles and the PC on April. But, that's just the tip of the iceberg. The game would also be released on mobile platforms. A video has been uploaded on YouTube that chronicled that game's evolution from being an archaic arcade sensation to game console champion, based on a report from Gamezebo. At the end of the video, viewers would catch the quick mention of the game going mobile.

As April nears, gamers would surely be on the look out for "Mortal Kombat X" especially with all the spectacular press it's been feeding its hardcore fans. Hopefully, the game's release would be a roaring success not just an irrelevant raucous.
