'Avengers: Age of Ultron' Countdown: Renner Tweets Hawk Eye Solo Poster, Downey Launches Children’s Charity Contest

By

Jeremy Renner’s release of his Hawk Eye solo by way of his Twitter account brings to six the number of Avengers: Age of Ultron posters out there! That means only Chris Evan’s Captain America solo poster has yet to be released to complete Marvel’s heroic team of seven. There are understandably high expectations for the star-spangled Avenger’s poster.

However, the Hawk Eye poster was by no means a disappointment either! Screen Crush published the poster borrowed from Renner’s Twitter and calls his character “everyone’s favorite marksman.” The poster shows Hawk Eye in a sleeveless black outfit that seems to be made of some sort of bulletproof material. He is also seen ready to shoot one of his high-tech arrows at a bunch of Ultron minions that seem to be creeping up from behind him. It appears as though he can put them all down because he is also seen with a quiver full of arrows strapped to his back!

Character posters are part of Disney’s promotional campaign for the film ahead of its May 1 showing. However, its printed versions are also expected to fetch big dollars when they become collectible. Avid collectors are known to fork out huge sums for movie memorabilia.

Meantime, Robert Downey, Jr., who plays Iron Man, formally launched a contest intended to benefit a children’s charity. In a 2-minute video clip that can be seen on Screen Rant and other websites, RDJ invites fans to donate (US) $10 or more to Julia’s House, a hospice for children. “Have you ever had the best night of your life, ever? Well you can, with me… for a good cause,” Downey says with his usual boyish swagger.

Wondering about the prize for winning this contest for a good cause? Downey calls it the “RDJ experience.” It apparently involves sky-diving, dining at a donut shop where Iron Man is known to stop for coffee and donuts, naturally, and watching the Avengers 2 premier with Mr. Tony Stark (Downey) himself.
