Android 5.0 Lollipop Update: HTC One M7, Sony Z Series Handsets Release Still Expected

It has been quite some time since the breakthrough of Android Lollipop and many tech savvy people have craved to get their hands on this latest update.

Throughout the years, Android has never failed the masses on their continuous innovative updates especially when it comes to the features that come along with it. This is why when Android released their latest update, many people made a tech switch.

Android 5.0 Lollipop is an eye-candy. The first thing you notice is its material design. It is now more colorful and bolder with enhanced colors, graphics, and typography. With Android Lollipop, there is more animation and transitions which make it even more catchy.

According to the Android website its additional features includes longer battery life, security of device, flexible device sharing and connectivity, smoother performane, and a whole lot more.

Which Phones Have It

The Nexus device had always been first in line when it comes to software updates. Nexus devices such as Nexus 5, Nexus 4, Nexus 7 (both the 2012 and 2013 versions), Nexus 6, Nexus 9, and Nexus 10 have received the update.

According to Techradar's latest update, Samsung started rolling out Android Lollipop to most of its S5 handsets. For Samsung S4 handset owners, only India has received the update but S4 and Galaxy Note handset owners from other parts of the world should receive the update anytime soon.

Some HTC One handset users should also have been able to receive the latest Android update by February 1 according to an article on Know Your Mobile but apparently only HTC ONE M8 handsets have received that update. On the morning of March 6th, HTC announce that Android Lollipop update is making its way to HTC One M7 handset in Europe."The Android Lollipop update will spread throughout 2015", says Phone Probe.

In December, Sony announced that they will be releasing the Android 5.0 Lollipop to its Z Series handsets only. "The Sony Xperia Z includes devices namely the Xperia Z, Xperia ZL, Xperia ZR, Xperia Tablet Z, Xperia Z1, Xperia Z1S, Xperia Z Ultra, Xperia Z1 Compact, Xperia Z2, Xperia Z2 Tablet, Xperia Z3, Xperia Z3v, Xperia Z3 Compact and Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact", confirms Mike Fasulo, President of Sony Electronics.

Other handsets for Motorola, NVIDIA, and Asus are also expecting to get this most important Android update by Google yet soon.
