Sony had introduced the PS4 Project Morpheus during the Game Developers Conference held at San Francisco, California earlier this March. According to Sony, the Project Morpheus make the company an inch closer to their goal which is to make the players feel that they have had stepped right into the game.
The recent PS4 Project Morpheus had stuck to its previous model's display. The PS4 Project Morpheus is a 5.7 inch model with a Full HD 1920 x 1080 display. The Project Morpheus will be having a clearer image due to its RGB subpixels.
Sony's latest upgrade will be having an upgraded refresh rate which would run up to 120 Hz. This is comparably higher to the Oculus Rift and HTC Vive which runs at 90 Hz. This upgrade would make the overall performance of the Project Morpheus smooth. Sony's Project Morpheus will also have a lessened to no more lag time. This is due to the increase in the number of head-tracking LEDs.
The Project Morpheus will be making gaming more comfortable. Its headset, which is basically the heaviest part of the console, will be made usable even when the player is wearing eye glasses. Sony has made an option which makes the headset easier to put on and off. A quick release button has been installed to make this so.
Connectivity as an issue can be answered with Sony's PlayStation 4. This is the console in which the Project Morpheus will be attached to. Sony has made available a second box which would connect the PS4 via USB and HDMI. This would enable the users to attach the device to a screen so that others could see what is being experienced by the player.
A rather vague release date was given by Sony (according to Wareable) which says that the Project Morpheus might be released on the first half of 2016.
