When are we going to see the first costumes from Suicide Squad? We in the general public might be waiting a while, but there's at least one person who's seen some Suicide Squad concept art up close- Jai Courtney, who'll be playing George "Digger" Harkness, the given name of classic DC villain Captain Boomerang. According to ComicBook.com, Courtney's already seen concept art of what he'll look like once he straps on Captain Boomerang's costume- presumably, complete with plenty of deadly boomerangs.
Courtney said the costume- and Suicide Squad itself- will be "dope," "dark" and "cool." As well, the Australian actor added that "it won't be a comic book movie we've seen before." He also spoke about joining the film, saying:
"David Ayer was really the major point of attraction for me, with this. It's funny, Shia Labeouf and I were on a road trip to New Orleans to work on a film we did together called Man Down. And we were talking about David because he had just done Fury. We were talking about that experience and I was fascinated by what he put the guys through in order to get ready for that. It sounded amazing."
But what other actors might have seen their costumes already, and just what are those costumes going to look like? Jared Leto has almost definitely seen what his Joker's going to look like, given that he's been teasing fans on social media for the past week or so, showing off new haircuts, green dye and other slight hair-and-makeup hints at what he'll look like as the Joker.
The other characters in the film, like Will Smith as Deadshot or Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, have been teased far less, although presumably they'll look just as incredible once brought to life in Suicide Squad.
Suicide Squad will premiere on August 5, 2016.
