Fans would all agree how much of a cliffhanger the game Alien Isolation was. Considering how inconclusive the ending is, it's pretty obvious that its developer, Creative Assembly, clearly intended for it to have a sequel. In fact, Alien Isolation 2 might just be Creative Assembly's new multi-platform AAA Blockbuster.
Gary Napper, Lead developer of Alien Isolation, said his team is already talking about how the studio would go about Alien Isolation 2's plot. "I think the action-oriented Aliens style game is very different from what Isolation is. If we made a sequel I would like to stick to the same terrifying single Alien approach but do more with the environment and interactivity within it." He said when asked whether the potential sequel would be more action-oriented in an interview with AVP Galaxy.
Additionally, Creative Assembly has been spotted to have posted a job listing looking for an online programmer for "another multi-platform AAA Blockbuster". Since the game will be also be available for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One,and the header photo is a screenshot from Alien Isolation it definitely is not a another Total War game.
The position overview reads: "We are seeking an [sic] talented programmer has thorough experience developing a range of online features. We are creating another multi-platform AAA blockbuster and the successful applicant will be part of a team which allows our game experience to be shared." Creative Assembly is also looking for a talented Graphics and Engine programmer who will help working on the said multi-platform AAA blockbuster.
Whatever Creative Assembly's plan is for Alien Isolation 2, it definitely is going to big and innovative. Officially, the game they are currently developing is free-to-play Total War: Arena. Keep your eyes peeled and ears ready for official announcements of Alien Isolation 2.
