"The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" developer CD Projekt RED said that one of their major RPG projects for 2015, "Cyberpunk 2077," was heavily affected by the delays from "The Witcher 3" launch. However, CD Projekt RED clarified that the delays would guarantee a bug-free game upon release.
CD Projekt Red managing director Adam Badowski said that the development cycle for "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" was unexpectedly long. He went on explaining that they realized they needed help from other teams to complete "The Witcher 3." Badowski said that the studio had to reallocate resources; thus, getting the team from "Cyberpunk 2077" to help in completing "The Witcher 3," based on a report from International Business Times.
Badowski added that 2015 would be the year of "The Witch 3: Wild Hunt." He added that the studio had been optimizing the PC, PS4 and Xbox One editions of the upcoming installment in "The Witcher" franchise. Meanwhile, CD Projekt RED Senior art producer Michał Krzemiński said that the team was working hard to ensure that the game would be released bug-free.
In an earlier report, a short "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" gameplay trailer was featured in the PAX East 2015 held in Boston. The game would be running smoothly at 1080p for PS4 and 900p for Xbox One. Krzemiński also assured gamers that "The Witcher 3" would run in PCs with low specs; however, gamers with high-end PCs would certainly experience a smoother version of the game.
Aside from being a "showstopper," "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" also featured "very mature and well-written" cut scenes, based on a report from Twinfinite. Everything in the game's cut scenes was said to be executed "tastefully" and that included some of the more mature parts in the game's storyline.
"The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" would be released on May 19th on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
