Metallica is one of the most revered heavy metal groups in the music industry today. However the band is reported to have been losing money since 2010 since they have started their vanity projects. As they record their latest new album, Metallica is claiming that they are back.
RISE AND FALL OF METALLICA
Metallica has made a breakthrough with Kill 'Em All album has brought them to stardom. Their follow up albums was also a masterpiece on its own and a lot of modern bands have been formed looking up to them. As the band subsists throughout the years, they have been considered to be one of the forerunners in the heavy metal music and remained in at the top of the charts with their latest release.
A recent report reveals that the band has been losing money since 2010. According to the authors of the "Into the Black: The Inside Story of Metallica", the band has embarked on several projects which did not exactly bring in money for them. The two events of the Orion festival did not do well in sales and they have incurred financial lose. The 2013 "Metallica Through the Never" film did not do well and they have spent more than the income it received in the box office.
Now that the group is back in the studio recording their latest project, will Metallica be able to get back in track with their future projects? Lars Ulrich thinks so and he is convinced that they are back. Metallica's new album details were revealed by their drummer in one of his recent interviews.
RECORDING PROCESS
According to Lars Ulrich, they are in process of getting the creative elements done but it is still ways off from being released. Latest report states that the band hasn't entered the pre-production stage yet and they haven't settled on a producer at this moment.
Metallica's new album will contain around 20 songs according to their drummer. The band has recorded around 800 riffs in the writing process and they are going through it on which would be the best fit for their latest album. According to Lars Ulrich, they are currently trying a different recording, saying that "In our world, there's been a distinct difference between the creative phase and the recording phase," explaining that. "With this project, we're trying to bridge the two a little more organically and not have there be such a great divide between the processes. We want to see if we can bring some of the creative curiosity, the impulsive stuff that happens when you're first playing a song, into the studio."
Metallica is taking their time to record their new album and fans can expect that they will announce its release date within this year. Metallica's New Album will be the follow up to their 2008 Death Magnetic record and fans can expect that the latest album will live up to the name of Metallica.
