VH1 revealed that production for a second season of the hit TV series 'Hindsight' is now in motion. Hindsight first aired on January 7 this year and the season finale episode was released last Wednesday, March 11. The show was received quite warmly by the public. The show's producers recognize a success when they see it, and plans are in order to renew the series.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, the exec vp of VH1 Susan Levison was inspired by the favorable reception of the show. "From the characters and storytelling to the iconic music and fashion of the '90s, this is a quintessential VH1 show and we can't wait to see what Becca will do next. Congratulations to the cast and creative team behind this signature series," she said. An official release date is yet to be confirmed, though.
Laura Ramsey stars as Becca, a young woman from New York rethinking the path her life has taken. She is engaged to be married to her second husband, Andy (Nick Clifford) soon, but still doubts about her life choices, her career direction, as well as her dreams, linger. By some twist of fate, she magically time travels back to the 90's, where she was still married to her first husband, Sean (Craig Horner). It was also the time when she had a falling out with her best friend Lolly, who is played by Sarah Goldberg.
The series follows Becca trying to right previous wrongs, especially on the matters that eventually led to her messy divorce with Sean. Becca also forges back old ties, especially her fractured relationship with Lolly; ultimately rediscovering herself through reliving a portion of her life she has taken for granted the first time. Can she finally get it right this time? It is a story of second chances and rediscovery, set against the wonderful backdrop of the 90's fashion hypes and music trends.
Hindsight showcases a nostalgic, dreamy feel to it. It is a show that tugs at the heartstrings and reminds us of what life used to be like, far far away from today's fast-paced schedules, noise, and traffic.
