Franchise games continue to be in demand as shown by the latest set of releases due for the Playstation in both March and April.
First on the list of releases is "Borderlands: The Handsome Collection." The title is actually a collection of different games from the "Borderlands" franchise. It includes "Borderlands 2" and "Borderlands: The Pre-sequel" along with the downloadable content for both games.
"Borderlands: The Handsome Collection" will be out in North America on March 24 and international release will follow on March 27, according to IGN.
Coming near the tail end of March is the latest in the long line of successful MLB games from SCEA San Diego Studios. "MLB 15: The Show" reintroduces players to the acclaimed baseball simulation game with the addition of new names to teams' rosters and General Manager Contracts to bring a new level of complexity to the game's franchise mode.
"MLB 15: The Show" will be available on the Playstation 4, Playstation 3 and the Playstation Vita on March 31, according to Gamespot.
April gives gamers the chance to finally get their hands on the newest title from the "Dark Souls" franchise. "Dark Souls 2: Scholar of the First Sin" takes the visuals of "Dark Souls 2" and improves on them significantly. The three downloadable content packages designed for "Dark Souls 2" will also be integrated into the new game right from the start.
"Dark Souls 2: Scholar of the First Sin" will be available in the United States on April 7 and April 2 in Europe, according to PC Gamer.
"Final Fantasy Type-0" was another franchise game released in March. The game, originally released in October 2011 on the Playstation Portable, brings back the iconic chocobos fans have come to know from the franchise along with airships and the always exciting battles. A demo for "Final Fantasy XV" is also bundled together with the game.
The remastered version of "Final Fantasy Type-0" was released on March 17, according to Express UK.
