CD Projekt RED just caused its gamers' mouths to water one more time after it released a new screen from "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" in 4K resolution. The image featured Geralt approaching a town weathered by time.
CD Projekt RED Community & Website Coordinator Marcin Momot released the new image Wednesday. The new image featuring Geralt was in 4K resolution for the PC. However, gamers needed high-end hardware in order to experience the same 4K quality that was presented on the image. Then again, gamers with old PCs did not have to worry since the game would still be able to run on the following minimum requirements, based on a report from Gamespot:
- 64-bit Win 7/Win 8(8.1)
- AMD Phenom II X4 940
- DX11
- GeForce GTX 660
- HDD 40 GB
- Intel i5-2500K 3.3GHz
- Radeon HD 7870
- RAM 6GB
In an earlier report, it was revealed that CD Projekt RED had not yet shared to the gaming community details about "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" "ultra" settings that could make the anticipated installment in "The Witcher" franchise more spectacular. Also, the game would be as much beautiful on game consoles as it would be on the PC. "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" was reported to run smoothly at 1080p in PS4 and 900p in Xbox One.
However, the image that was shown in 4K resolution was only a glimpsed of what to expect from "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt." CD Projekt RED still had a few tweaks to do in the game before its launch on May 16th. The game's release had been moved several times due to the game developer's desire to create a fantastic looking game; it seemed that all their efforts paid off.
"The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" would also be bundled with "GeForce GTX 980, GTX 970, and GTX 960 graphics cards, or a notebook with a GTX 970M or above," in what was called as the "Undeniably Epic" bundle in collaboration with Nvidia.
