‘Batman Arkham Knight’ Update: A DC Comics prologue reveals plot; Villains join forces to end the Caped Crusader

"Batman: Arkham Knight" is set to be released this June for PS4, Xbox One and PC. The upcoming game will showcase several villains who will be joining forces in order to hunt down Batman. A DC Comics prologue reveals the premise for the upcoming game and a grim future awaits the Caped Crusader.

PLOT REVEALED

DC Comics is now releasing the Comic book prequel for "Batman: Arkham Knight". The comic book will provide the background story for the upcoming Rocksteady game and it will over arch with the story of the Arkham City, Arkham Knight and beyond the game. Issue#1 "Death of a Rival" shows the death of "The Joker" and leaves Arkham City closed. Bruce Wayne is recovering from his injuries and started to questions his role as Batman in the survival of Gotham City. A new threat then emerges beyond the horizon of Gotham City and the Arkham Knight story begins.

VILLAINS ON THE HUNT

In a recent interview, Gaz Deaves, the Social Marketing Manager of Rocksteady Studios, revealed that the latest Batman Arkham Knight Game will feature a large roster of villains who will be returning to hunt down the Caped Crusader. Deaves said that "Having a Rogues Gallery full of amazing villains is one of the great pleasures of working with Batman. Strong characters naturally inspire great stories, but in our game they also have a big role in shaping the gameplay."

The Social Marketing Manager also revealed that "Batman is facing an attack like nothing he's experienced before, as his enemies have all united for the first time to take the Dark Knight down once and for all."

Scarecrow is featured to be the main villain in the game along with the returning villains from the previous Batman Arkham Games. Being the titular Arkham Knight Main Villain, Scarecrow poses the biggest threat to Batman in the upcoming game and he will use everything to instil fear and ultimately get rid of the Batman.

"Batman: Arkham Knight" is will be released for PS4 and Xbox One and PC this June.
