‘The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt’ PC Update: ‘Ultra’ settings run smoothly at 90 FPS; ‘The Witcher 3’ 16 DLCs to be released for free

Finally, someone found out the secret to the "ultra" settings of "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt." However, avid gamers should be prepared to make an investment in order to appreciate this fantastic gaming experience.

Gamers could unleash the beast in "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt," specifically in the PC edition, by running its "ultra" settings. However, this might require gamers to upgrade their hardware as the "ultra" settings would run smoothly at 90fps if they had a GTX980. This was an experiment conducted by Gamestar in Europe, based on a report by Gamingbolt. The gamers who discovered the beauty of the "ultra" settings used an Intel i7-4790 with 16GB of RAM; and of course, the PC had a GTX980.

However, the game would still work wonderfully in an old PC as what was reported earlier. The gaming experience would still be worthwhile and perhaps as breathtaking as that with high-end PCs. Also, it would be interesting to note that the card used in the "ultra" settings experiment was from Nvidia.

Now, Nvidia had a collaboration with CD Projekt RED wherein "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" would be sold with "GeForce GTX 980, GTX 970, and GTX 960 graphics cards, or a notebook with a GTX 970M or above," in the "Undeniably Epic" bundle.

Meanwhile, CD Projekt RED CEO Marcin Iwiński explained that reason behind the reported free DLCs for "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt." He said that "We do believe that when gamers buy our game we form a long-term relation and we owe them our care and support, hence the 16 free DLCs. It is our way of saying 'thank you' for buying our game and we would love to see other companies follow this trend," based on an interview by International Business Times UK.

"The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" would be released on May 19 on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
