Gamers would be delighted to learn that the game developers had kept their promise and released its big surprise for avid fans who have been waiting for word about "Halo 5: Guardians." The surprise which was initially teased through the game's Tumblr account was in fact a very short video that raised a lot more questions from fans about what they would be expecting from the next installment in the franchise.
The video teaser for "Halo 5: Guardians" featured a bullet with the word traitor engraved on it. Later in the video, the bullet went through the helmet of Master Chief. However, that would not be all as gamers were further teased with an audio file posted at the Tumblr "HunttheTruth" website, based on a report from International Business Times.
Now, "Halo 5: Guardians" the audio file on SoundCloud titled "Episode 00. PRIMER" was on a fictional journalist Benjamin Giraud. Giraud was at New Mambosa during the time Master Chief Petty Officer Spartan 117 made his first appearance and fought the Covenant. Apparently, Giraud had been studying the Master Chief since that incident.
Giraud, who was also a veteran war journalist, was able to get access to some files after he was hired to do a profile on the Master Chief. In the interviews Giraud did, he unraveled a dark facet of the Master Chief as the hero was also branded as a traitor by some who claimed to know him. Eventually, Giraud realized that he had to expose the hidden truths behind the real identity and mission of the Master Chief, based on a report from Hardcore Gamer.
On the other hand, it was made clear that the episodes would be released on a weekly basis as part of the in-depth profile of the Master Chief. However, it was not made clear if all the episodes would be audio files heard entirely on SoundCloud or would be there other forms that could be uploaded on YouTube.
Nonetheless, all clues to the launch date of "Halo 5: Guardians" pointed to a possible launch at November 2015 on Xbox One.
