Xbox One owners were advised to check out the update for their game console as Microsoft had released the first wave of the Xbox One April System Update for early adopters and testers. However, it seemed that not everyone was convinced with the tech conglomerate's effort to improve Xbox One.

The first wave of the Xbox One April System Update would come with three main features and improvement focusing on the party app, game hub links and achievements app. The party app and chat features would be improved as well as "privacy settings or networking issues" that could be hindering the conversations with other parties. Game hub links' improvement could be noticed as activity feed items could then be viewed through friends, based on a report from International Business Times. Add to that, gamers could now see the description of the achievement they earned without opening the achievements app.

However, some gamers were concerned with was allegedly a controversy regarding the upgrade on the Xbox One's speed. This issue revolved around the DirectX 12 and its effect on Xbox One's top speed. Currently, Microsoft tried to clarify that although there would be new parts coming in for Xbox One, the speed and core quantity would remain the same; however, the new parts would function differently due to the new way the cores would be communicating with each other. Microsoft added that the console would just have a multi-core instead of merely having one.

Meanwhile, the features would be available for Xbox One preview program members. On the other hand, the rest of the Xbox One gaming community would be able to get the April System Update by next month. Also, Microsoft would be releasing the details about the second wave by next week.

Although there had been issues raised by gamers concerning Xbox One's speed upgrades, it seemed that Microsoft would continue with its charted course.
