The siblings Joe and Anthony Russo closed their deal to direct Avengers: Infinity War 1 and 2.
Brothers Joe and Anthony Russo, who directed 'Captain America: The Winter Soldier' and will return for 'Captain America: Civil War', are preparing themselves for the next upcoming Avengers movies, Badass Digest reports.
The brothers will take over the billion-dollar franchise from Joss Whedon, who directed the first two Avengers films. The shooting schedule for Avengers: Infinity War I will begin sometime next year, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Joe and Anthony Russo will direct both parts of Disney-Marvel's "Avengers: Infinity War" with the movies shooting back-to-back in 2016 and 2017.
Moreover, Civil War, which the brothers are involved in the preproduction, will be released on May 6, 2016. Infinity War Part 1 is slated to be out on May 2018, and Infinity War Part 2 is on May 3, 2019, it was reported.
On the other hand, Variety noted that Avengers Infinity War 1 and 2 Directed by Russo Brothers will also bring up the time commitment dictated by the two "Avengers" films. The Russo brothers are currently involved to 'The Gray Man' at Sony and are also reported to direct a 'Ghostbusters' film with Channing Tatum, which it seems impossible for the siblings to direct the film in between.
They will now have to get one of Sony Pictures projects done before the camera for 'Avengers: Infinity War' starts rolling.
The Russo brothers are said to stepping up to be the backbone of the Marvel Cinematic Universe for the rest of the decade. In fact, many fans consider 'Captain America: The Winter Soldier' as the best Marvel movie to date.
Meanwhile, no screenwriters are confirmed yet, but rumors have it that Marvel is eyeing the Captain America films' writers Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely.
