Latest juicy details have been spilled regarding Street Fighter 5 release date, 14 playable fighters, and the upcoming online beta test that Capcom confirmed to be the biggest and most ambitious in the history of the franchise.
The recent Capcom leak has revealed and named a full line-up of character roster courtesy of the popular fighting game blog, Hadoken.net.
The list of 14 playable characters that may be included in the roster at launch of Street Fighter 5 release are the following:
Ryu
Chun Li
Nash
Alex
Urien
Dudley
Elena
M. Bison (dictator)
Hugo
Poison
Abel
C. Viper
Kuan (New character)
Sherry (New character)
Akuma (Day 1 DLC character)
So far, three returning characters confirmed for Street Fighter 5 are Ryu, Chun-Li, and Street Fighter Alpha veteran Charlie (Nash).
Meanwhile, Gamespot wrote that Capcom has confirmed its plans to run a public beta test for 'Street Fighter 5' on PS4 console and PC hardware to gather fans' valued opinions and feedback useful to the game development team to realize a 'best' game before the official full release.
No other details were announced about the public beta test other than Capcom saying that it would be the "largest and most ambitious online beta program in franchise history."
The Street Fighter 5 release date leak for PC, PS4 next spring is said to be just tentative. VG247 first reported that the release date for Street Fighter 5 was spotted at the bottom part of Capcom's Unity post.
The purported post has been removed since, however, the site was quick to get a screenshot of the post which reads, "Everyone is fired up for Street Fighter 5 coming to the PS4 and PC next Spring. Until then, you can sport the official SFV key art T-shirt, which features Ryu in a heroic pose, for $25."
Street Fighter 5 PS4, PC is pegged to get an unconfirmed March 31, 2016 release date that Amazon and Best Buy retailers have listed on their pre-order pages.
