With no trailers, new posters or clips from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, any little spoiler or news from the film is like stumbling into a little Batman v Superman goldmine. And we've just found a little tidbit from the upcoming superhero epic that should get everyone's mouths watering appropriately.
It's not much, but it's something: Henry Cavill has revealed that, at some point in the upcoming superhero film, he and Ben Affleck (who plays Batman) will share a firm, manly handshake.
The spoiler came from the Empire Awards on Sunday (via Batman News), where Cavill presented Christopher Nolan with the Best Director Award, and was interviewed just before the presentation. Cavill was hesitant to reveal anything about major fights between the Dark Knight and the Man of Steel (although they have to fight at some point, right? The name of the movie is Batman v Superman, after all), but he did give away the following quote: "There is a firm handshake at some stage. Yes."
Presumably, it'll come towards the end of the film, when Batman and Superman join forces to stop Lex Luthor and whatever other villains Zack Snyder's brought into Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Both Doomsday and Metallo have been speculated, as well as Lex Luthor in power armor crafted from General Zod's in Man of Steel.
Could we potentially see this scene in an early Batman v Superman trailer? It's possible, if WB wants to play the movie as a team-up first and not a superheroes-battle-it-out kind of story. The other way, of course, would be to focus on the fighting between the two DC Comics heavyweights, and leave their actual friendship unspoiled in the actual movie. Even if most people probably figured out that Batman and Superman will eventually become friends.
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice will premiere on March 25, 2016.
